Epic Mickey 3…4 Could Be Possible
Disney’ Epic Mickey is a unique platformer that takes the typical platforming formula and adds a new mechanic. Junction Point has included the use of paint and thinner to allow users not only transform the game environment they are exploring but use these tools to change the way they are experiencing the game by making decisions along the journey. Pramath Parijat, Gamingbolt.com, recently sat down with Warren Spector of Junction Point to talk about Epic Mickey: The Power of Two and an interesting piece of news came out of the interview. Warren Spector says there could always be a possibility for Epic Mickey 3 or 4.
Pramath Parijat: Are there any plans to turn Epic Mickey into a trilogy, a running series?
Warren Spector: Before I start working on any project, I sort of map out several games in a potential series featuring the characters and game world. Basically, if there’s a chance I’ll be spending ten years of my life (and a trilogy of games can take that long!) in a single universe, I need to know I’m not going to end up bored out of my mind! Before we started working on the first game at Junction Point, there were reasonably solid ideas floating around for what games 2, 3 and 4 might look like. So, to answer your question, I’d say there are “hopes” that Disney Epic Mickey will enjoy a long run as a series. Will it happen? Let’s see how #2 does!
