The year that is 2012 is slowly coming to an end. With the end of the year comes all the end of the year top lists. Why should Pure Nintendo be left out of all the list fun? Expect to see top Wii U and 3DS games coming in the next day or two.
Nintendo has made it clear that the Wii U and 3DS eShop are two different entities. I have decided to put the two shops together anyways for this post. One my ask why I did this? I would answer simply, because I can.
Top eShop games of 2012.
5: Denpa Men: They Came by Wave – Denpa men is a quirky RPG game originally released in Japan. This year the game finally made its way to the United States with little fanfare The game offers players an interesting use of the 3DS’s augmented reality and a pretty in-depth RPG aspect. Dempa Men is probably one eShop game that has been overlooked by many.
4: Little Inferno – Little Inferno is the next game by the Tomorrow Corporation, the creators of World of Goo. Little Inferno is a simple game at the core but offers the quirky fun we have grown to love from the Tomorrow Corp.
3: Crashmo – Crashmo is the sequel to the highly popular Pushmo. Crashmo always players to push and pull blocks, in a grid, to create stairs to a goal. These are not your typical stairs but could be considered works of art.
2: Mutant Mudds (Top 3DS eShop game) – Mutant Mudds from Renegade Kid could have very easily been at the top of this list. Mutant Mudds offers players an amazing retro platform game with amazing use of the 3D technology. The Mutant Mudds review was the first ten that I had ever handed out.
1: Trine 2: Directors Cut – Trine 2 could possibly be more than the best eShop game but one of the best games on the Wii U. Frozenbyte not only made an amazingly stunning looking game but a mystical fairytale story that will keep anyone interested.
