Wii Mini Launching March 22nd In Europe
Nintendo of Europe has announced they will be releasing the Wii Mini (originally a Canadian exclusive) on March 22. This Wii is smaller than the traditional Wii and offers a matted back and can only be placed on its side. The system has no internet capabilities or GameCube ports (which was taken out of Wii’s a while ago).
Along with the release of the Wii Mini, Nintendo will add Mario Party 8, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Power Tennis and Super Paper Mario to the existing Nintendo Select titles.
The Wii Mini will launch on March 22nd for $99 (£62).

I would enjoy seeing Nintendo add some more games to the ‘Selects’ line in North America as well. Mario Party 8 still commands a high price. $20 would be nice, and there are plenty of other games that could benefit from it as well. It’d be a nice way to keep the Wii relevant, while they transition to the Wii U.
