Luigi Announced As Playable Character For Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS
The ‘Year of Luigi’ would not be complete until the green plumber is announced as a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game for the Wii U and 3DS. During the Nintendo Direct today, Luigi fans received said announcement along with some screenshots from the new Super Smash Bros. game due out for the Wii U and 3DS sometime next year.

Did it mention if he would be upgraded from unlockable? It would be nice to see a Smash Bors. where Luigi is among the initial batch of characters from the start.

So far, nothing’s been said of who is unlockable and who will be available from the start. And I will agree it would be nice to see Luigi standing beside his brother as a starter character. Year of Luigi demands it! Then again, this game won’t be out until 2014 lol But if Luigi IS unlockable, I hope we have to find him in a haunted castle or something :D
