New Developer AE Games Dedicated to Nintendo and Wii U
A very interesting website has popped up under the name of AE Games, with some promising Wii U news.
Based in North Carolina and using talent from around the world, the new game developer is pledging their support to the Wii U, teasing the reveal of their first game for the system this Friday, February 14.
AE Games is candid about the Wii U, blatantly displeased with the way the system has been treated in regards to third party titles and support:
We are tired of hearing excuses from so many third party developers and publishers in regards to supporting the Wii U.
AE Games goes on to exemplify the way games have been released on the system, which many of us can relate to:
There are examples of publisher support that shouldn’t be forgotten, wonderfully terrible examples in our opinion, like a publisher releasing one game on the Wii U for $60, but selling a trilogy of that game series on the other consoles for the same price. Or, releasing the exact same game on all consoles at the same time, but pricing the Wii U version nearly 70% more than the other versions. Or, now even more recently, delaying only the Wii U version of a game that was already previously announced.
AE Games sound passionate about Nintendo, making them a developer worth watching. Stay tuned for Friday’s announcement and read the full story about the new company’s stance on the AE Games website.
What type of game do you hope will be announced?

Although I agree with some of the things AE Games is saying here regarding third party developer/publishers, I’m not sure what my feelings are regarding their upcoming announcement. For one, it’s a developer that seemingly came out of nowhere and two, I was not overly impressed by their website on Blogger. We will see on Friday but I’m hoping that AE Games’ announcement is of higher quality than what I’ve seen so far.
