Image & Form Letting Fans In On SteamWorld Dig News
Image & Form, creators of the critically acclaimed SteamWorld Dig on 3DS, is letting fans in on some more news regarding SteamWorld Dig and what the developer is working on via Twitter.
The first bit of news is that the original SteamWorld Dig for 3DS is going to be released on Wii U sometime at the end of August!
@BradleyKragen The end of August :D earlier than we expected!

The other piece of news which we think is slightly more exciting, is that Image & Form are already working on a new SteamWorld Dig game! Image & Form says that the next SteamWorld game is not ‘Dig 2’ but rather a totally different genre. Image & Form is hoping to release SteamWorld Dig 2 on 3DS but they also seem to leave release platforms fairly open ended. So it seems like the Wii U may be a possibility but that may also depend on how well the first game sells when it releases later this month.
@PLUG313 Yup! Right now: A mystery SteamWorld game. New genre. Not Dig 2. We're also finishing the Wii U version of SteamWorld Dig :D

How about a collaboration between Image & Form and Yacht Club Games to corner the “digging” genre? It’d be the SquEnix of the Indy world!
