The Official Nintendo Magazine has provided a pretty comprehensive overview of the Wii U console.  The overview covers not only the GamePad but also the console unit and provides a size comparison of the Wii U console to the Wii and GameCube.  There is also a comparison of the GamePad’s size to a 3DS XL for those of you who have yet to hold a Wii U GamePad.  The Wii U GamePad is very light and no matter how much someone explains this or demonstrates it (as they do as well in the video), it does not compare to actually holding the GamePad in your own hands.  I initially took everyone’s word that the GamePad was indeed light but when I actually held a GamePad earlier this year I was shocked by how nice and light it felt.  The video below is very informative and I encourage those who are not that familiar with the Wii U to take a look because it will tell you a lot about Nintendo’s new console.
