I would definitely agree with Bill on the fact that I don’t think hand held consoles are going anywhere. I am a big time hand held gamer, and you just can’t get certain experiences or tight control on ios devices.

The handheld market has been around for a long time and will not be going away anytime soon. Tablets and other mobile devices may have inevitably snagged some of the market share. These devices and the games made for mobile devices will never compare to what is found on dedicated handheld gaming devices.
