Aliens: Colonial Marines is supposed to be released on Wii U sometime in March but with the end of the month approaching fast and no recent news regarding the Wii U version, it is beginning to look like a March release is unlikely.  Fortunately Gamespot was able to catch up with Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford and they were able to get a statement regarding the Wii U version of Colonial Marines.

“We’ll see,” CEO Randy Pitchford told GameSpot.

“That’s not our call. I think [developer Demiurge Studios] did amazing work. I think it’s really cool, but Sega’s got to figure that out,” he added. “We’re doing the best we can.”

While this is not really the response many Wii U gamers are looking for at least it is nice to know that the game has not been completely cancelled…yet.  At this point it seems that the fate of Colonial Marines is in the hands of Sega.
