The NPD Group, which is the national marketing research company, has released last month’s video game sales numbers. All this data is taken from United States  and does not represent total sales figures.

Let’s go over the Nintendo related figures.

  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3D was the fifth best-selling game  – if combined counsel sales numbers not considered.
  • During the first four months of 2015, Wii U sales were up 15 percent over the same period of 2014.
  • The first four months also saw a 65 percent increase in 3DS sales over the same period of 2014.
  • Pokemon OR/AS have now sold over 3 million combined digital and physical copies in the U.S.
  • Super Mario 3D World has sold more than 2 million copies.
  • Total video game sales were up 3 percent from $579.5 million to $595.7 million .
  • Hardware sales were down 4 percent from $191.9 million to $183.9 million.
