Battlefield 4 not coming to the Wii U – DICE explains why-ish
Over the night, DICE released Battlefield 4 details along with 17 minutes of gameplay. With that came the announcement of Battlefield 4 skipping over the Wii U.
“I think overall for me as creative director, number one is to deliver a really great game and experience,” Sometimes, at least for us, it’s focus on what you do well and what you know well, and ensure that you deliver something good than trying a bit too much, stretching yourself too thin and risking it.
“I’d rather play it safe, deliver something really good and then look at the future and what could possibly be done than trying a bit too hard and [failing].”
– DICE Creative Director Lars Gustavsson
You will be able to check out PN staff reactions to this during tonight’s Koopa Kast, starting at 8:15 PM EST.

I call bullsh*t. I think EA is generally lazy and doesn’t want to add extra content for the Gamepad.

NintendoPSX Honestly I don’t care if I get extra content for the GamePad. I will go a step further and say I don’t even want Off TV play functionality added in. I just want to play Battlefield. I would like to have another option other than Call of Duty on my Wii U.

so they’re afraid to even try? Welp, that would explain why it isn’t coming to PS4 either

scratch that, looks like it is going to PS4

If every developer followed that rule, we’d still be playing our Atari 2600’s! How are you going to get to know a console well unless you try? “Playing it safe” for too long will in all likelihood result in failure.
