The directors of the Bayonetta games have both expressed interest in continuing the series. Bayonetta 2 director Yusuke Hashimoto mentioned an interest in working on a sequel through a recent interview with GamesMaster. When asked about game sequels he’d like to work on. Hashimoto pointed straight to Bayonetta and how he’d like to create Bayonetta 3 – or even a spin-off.

A sequel to a Platinum title… I’d have to say Bayonetta 3. I have all kinds of ideas in my head for how to expand the world of Bayonetta in even more sequels, or maybe a spin-off!

Further to this comes the words of Hideki Kamiya, director of Bayonetta 1, who mentioned an interest in working on a Bayonetta spin-off for 3DS featuring Jeanne.

The future of the Bayonetta series may not be clear, but with both directors interested, and two unique platforms to work with, the possibilities are almost endless.
