SouthPeak Games are delighted to announce that their upcoming DS title Big Bang Mini has been nominated for two prizes at a prestigious French festival for videogames, the Prix du Festival du Jeu Vidéo (http://www.festivaldujeuvideo.com/). Big Bang Mini has been nominated in two categories, for best game on a portable console and also for best soundtrack. The festival will be held in Paris from the 26-28th of September.

Big Bang Mini is a fireworks-based shooter in which the player has to fill the night sky with brilliant bursts of fireworks to target aerial enemies. The game has dazzling graphics and will entertain the player with intense and involving gameplay.

The main objective of Big Bang Mini is to use the stylus to create fireworks in order to deal with waves of aerial enemies. Miss and you’ll be forced to tackle another challenge – avoiding falling sparks created by your off-target fireworks. The end of each level comes with a unique opportunity for would-be fireworks designers to make the ‘Final Bouquet’ – a one-of-a-kind fireworks masterpiece that will proclaim your victory. With over 90 levels to complete, Big Bang Mini offers players huge scope with its special brand of fireworks fun.

Big Bang Mini will be released for Nintendo DS Winter 08.
