Blowing Into Game Cartridges Does Not Help
So the first question that is bound to arise is what the heck is a game cartridge? A game cartridge are plastic, generic looking boxes that ‘old school’ gamers stuck into bigger boxes in order to play their video games. Game cartridges were the the discs of yesteryear and allowed many of us to enjoy video games but the bad thing about game cartridges was they did not always operate like they should. These days if a game disc gets a scratch, then you can almost immediately call the game garbage or an expensive and fragile frisbee. Back in the day, if you crammed a game cartridge in the slot and you saw nothing but nonsense on screen, then it was a quick fix. To fix a game cartridge you just take the cartridge blow the dust and other junk out from the inside and you were good to go or were you?! I just read a very interesting article at Businessinsider.com that debunks this myth. I can not believe that I spent all that time blowing into cartridges as a child to no avail. Visit Businessinsider.com to read the full article and see for yourself how this age old game fix has been proven wrong once and for all.
