Buy SMT 4 and Fire Emblem Awakening and get $30 eShop credit
Club Nintendo revealed a promo program today where you can receive $30 credit to the Nintendo eShop if you register both Fire Emblem: Awakening and Shin Megami Tensei 4 to your Club Nintendo account. Full details are at the Club Nintendo site here. The promo runs through August 31.
I really like the idea of this promotion, not only because I’ll definitely be buying both games, but also because this will encourage people to purchase some of the more “hardcore” 3DS games. While I do enjoy the different Mario games and Mario Kart, I would love to continue to see more serious games of the caliber of SMT 4 and Fire Emblem be released for the 3DS. And hey, who doesn’t like free stuff? $30 will buy a lot of Virtual Console titles.

This is obviously an incredible deal for someone like me who has already bought FE and has preordered SMTIV anyway. I am psyched!
If you remember, way back before E3, a teaser trailer was shown for the upcoming Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei, on a Nintendo Direct. This is clearly an attempt to solidify a fan-base for both titles before the launch of this game. My only hope is that FE X SMT makes it to the US, regardless of how well SMTIV sells.
