The man accused of killing 93 people in Norway, stated in his 1500 page manifesto, that he played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 as “part of my training-simulation.” He also claimed himself a Christian and strongly supported and believed and idolized the Christian crusaders back from early European time.

Now some Christian activist all calling for the head of video games when it comes to this killing.

“The studied indifference of this killer to the suffering he was inflicting, his obvious dehumanizing of his victims and the evil methodical nature of the killings have all the marks of games scenarios,” said Lobby MD Jim Wallace. “How can we allow the profits of the games industry and selfishness of games libertarians to place our increasingly dysfunctional society at further risk? Even if this prohibition were to save only one tragedy like this each twenty years it would be worth it.”

We already know that the US government uses video games for training purpose in battle. These training exercises are used to work on battle team work or help soldiers get over post dramatic stress syndrome.

Rant time.

Ok, lets say he did use video games to work on his hand-eye coordination in firing weapons, fair enough. What video game have you played that would lead you to plan out a horrific attack against your own nation? This guy was down right crazy! He would have done this same attack, even if he never picked up a video game controller.
