Dawn of Survivors is back and bloodier than ever! WiSTONE Entertainment announced that it’s bringing the apocalypse back to the Switch with a sequel, Dawn of Survivors 2. This new adventure takes the fight to the hordes, with new weapons, vehicles, maps, and more.
The announcement came with a trailer, which you can check out below.
During development, the team has relied on player feedback and support for the first game. The sequel boasts plenty of new features to tackle the undead in this all-new adventure.
The first thing you’ll need to know is that the survivors have been given a boost this time around, with more resources and firepower to fight the unstoppable hordes. Six-player co-op has been introduced, so you can team up with a bunch of friends to take down those pesky zombies.
Even without your team, you’re not alone in this cruel world. Numerous survivors are scattered throughout the land, and it’s up to you whether you save them or betray them.
You’ll be traversing the land in style, too, with the zombie death mower, your own all-purpose, all-terrain truck that can store valuables and mow down zombies like bowling pins. You’ll have to keep it protected though, and keep an eye on repairs.
The game throws waves of zombies in your general direction, each with its own unique quirk. They’ll work until they tear down your shelter walls. Even after the map is clear, it won’t be long before they return. Thankfully, you can build catapults and turrets to keep those hordes at bay.
The game’s design means that your environment actually reacts to what you do. Whether you’re building a shelter or gathering resources, the environment will change based on your actions, which can affect your safety. it means you’ll need to be aware of your surroundings at all times.
It sounds like there’s a lot to this sequel. While no exact release date has been set, the game has been flagged as “coming soon” to the Nintendo Switch. We’ll be sure to let you know when an official release date is announced.
