We first heard about Dragon Quest coming to the Wii way back in 2008. We really haven’t’ heard much about it until this month and this statement from series creator Yuji Horii.

“All we can say is that development is going well and we’re on the last parts of the game,” Horii said. “We can’t really share much else at this point, but by the end of this year we should be able to announce something regarding it.”

Yuji Horii also went into talking about why Dragon Quest took the move from the DS to Wii.

“some users will want to play Dragon Quest on the big screen.”

Horii explains that not all Dragon Quest games will be on home consoles, “its a a case-by-case basis.”
