“If only 12 of them (core Wii owners) buy it, that would probably be pretty bad. But I’m a gamer. I want a variety of different games. I love to play on my Wii, and all the other systems, so I want people to make stuff like this for me. There’s a lot of opportunity with the Wii to bring in new design elements, and it’s helping game designers to try different things. I just hope people continue to make games that are a little bit more hardcore.” – Steve Papoutsis, executive producer on Dead Space Extraction

Mr. Papoutsis was also asked about the possibility of a scoring system in co-op, and this was his answer.

“I’m not talking about that today. Ask me next time.”

CVG: A presentation slide earlier mentioned “a secret that propels the franchise forward”. What are you teasing?

Papoutsis: I can’t tell you – it’s a secret! Let’s just say there’s definitely connectivity between this game and Dead Space. There’s absolutely connectivity there and maybe… other stuff. I can’t really say.
