Europe: Still possible to register for the 3DS ambassador program
Do you live in Europe and missed out on registering for the ambassador program? Well Nintendo has offered you another chance.
If you bought your Nintendo 3DS system before August 12th but missed the deadline to join the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme, you’ll be pleased to hear you’re still eligible to register! For information on how you can still do this, visit our Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme page here.
For all consumers who purchased their Nintendo 3DS system and accessed Nintendo eShop or conducted the recent system update prior to the 12th of August, you will have already qualified to receive your free downloadable software. We’ll be providing an online tool soon to allow you to confirm your status. You can also find more details on this at our Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme page here.
No word yet if this is possible in North America. I will search around and see.

Thank you for telling us about this, I’ve not played my 3DS for a week or two and was quite annoyed when I only saw the message today! (You’d think it’s be the type of thing they’d mention in the 3DS Twitter account but nooooo…) At least now I’ll still be able to get the games as I already had a friend code.
I hope Nintendo make the same offer available to America as they don’t seem to have left a very long gap between announcement and the deadline for this.
