3rd July 2012 – Scare yourself silly as the classic Castlevania The Adventure arrives on Nintendo 3DS. This retro game – the first in the series to appear on Game Boy ™ – follows Christopher Belmont, an ancestor of the original NES™ games’ hero Simon, as he battles with the evil Count Dracula who has risen again to threaten the uneasy peace in Transylvania. Guide Christopher through the levels as he wields his mystic whip.

While Christopher whips Dracula into shape, why not use the power of music to overcome your zombie enemy in Zombie Slayer Diox™, also out on the Nintendo eShop. As Diox you’ll have to lure the zombies with your rocking rhythm and hypnotic guitar solos and cut them down with your mighty katana as soon as they get close.

The struggle for life continues in Escape the Virus: Swarm Survival, and in the unique dimensionally-woven 12-bit action platformer Mutant Mudds™, of which a demo is also out on Thursday.

This week also marks a special occasion for Nintendo, as for the first time Add-on Content will be offered for a Nintendo 3DS game when, THEATRHYTHM™ FINAL FANTASY® launches across Europe on July 6th. Complementing the already extensive list of songs shipping with this game, players can choose to add even more fan-favourites from games across the series via download. Starting with eight songs from launch, including Nobuo Uematsu compositions like Cosmo Canyon (FINAL FANTASY® VII) and The Final Battle theme of FINAL FANTASY® IV, over 50 playable titles will become available for purchase in-game at only €1 / £0,90 a piece, with new content being released every week.

The SpotPass™ feature on Nintendo 3DS allows you to automatically receive a host of exciting content such as 3D videos for Nintendo Video™, notifications, add-on data for your software and system updates without lifting a finger. SpotPass content can be received automatically and free of charge from thousands of supported public Wi-Fi access points across Europe and through wireless broadband internet connections at home. It works even if the system is in Sleep Mode.

Available again this week via Nintendo Video are two 3D trailers for the upcoming films The Amazing Spider Man and Ice Age 4 – Continental Drift. The upcoming film The Amazing Spider Man is based around Peter Parker’s journey to find out why his parents disappeared when he was young, after finding an important clue. And in Ice Age 4 – Continental Drift, the usual suspects – Manny, Diego and Sid – embark on yet another epic adventure after their continent is set adrift.

Making a return to Nintendo Video this week is the third part in the series of previously released Kid Icarus 3D Anime clips titled Thanatos Rising Part Three. If you missed out the first time round then be sure to check out the third in the series of entertaining clips on your Nintendo 3DS this week.
