According to the latest Famitsu magazine, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (which is coming to both the 3DS and Wii U) will run at full 1080p on the Wii U:

Monster Hunter 3G HD Ver. will launch with the WiiU on December 8th. Features include full 1080p display, 5.1 LPCM surround sound, a WiiU pad display based on the 3DS display, and internet multiplay. Local play works with up to three 3DSes, and a free eShop app will handle moving save data between the two.

So it looks like some games for the Wii U will run at full 1080p and some will be at 720p.  I’m guessing as time goes on, developers will be able to get more and more games to run at 1080p til it becomes almost the standard for the system.

Also, Bravely Default, the new RPG by Square Enix for the 3DS, got a 38/40!  Here are the rest of the reviews:
