February NPD sales numbers – Wii U has 40% increase
- Wii U saw a 40% gain from January. About 80,000 units.
- The game industry on a whole saw a 25% drop in sales.
- Software sales dropped 27 percent to $369.9 million
- Hardware plummeted 36 percent to $244.2 million
- Accessories fell back three percent to $213.9 million
- 455,000 units of Nintendo hardware was sold.
- The 3DS has surpassed 8 million in sales for NA

Good to see the numbers for Nintendo increasing. All it will take is a big game release or two for them to explode! Hopefully the numbers in March will be big, w/new games in the Lego, NFS, & Monster Hunter franchises being released.
