As part of Nintendo’s Fire Emblem direct presentation, a new game was announced for the 3DS, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Releasing on the 3DS on May 19th, this installment is inspired by the 2nd game in the series, Fire Emblem Gaiden which was only released in Japan. The unique free-roaming, dungeon crawling, and character progression game play from Gaiden makes a return in Shadows of Valentia.
The story features two protagonists, Alm and Celica, as they wage war in the divided continent of Valentia. Along with the game’s release in May, a special two-pack amiibo bundle featuring Alm and Celica will be available upon launch.
