Fortnite Season 8 erupts onto Nintendo Switch
If you’re looking for a new weapon to try out in Fortnite, a pirate cannon may be the way to go.
Fortnite Battle Pass Season 8 is now available on Nintendo Switch, bringing with new content as over-the-top as the game itself.
Freed from the Ice King’s castle, the now-powerful Prisoner has brought fire and flame to Fortnite and its islands. Pirates, Ninjas and a shipload of new fighters will tussle over treasure, battle with Pirate Cannons and uncover legendary loot.
The new season brings Fortnite players new areas to explore in Battle Royale, new content for creators in Creative mode, and major updates to Save the World. And if you completed the 13 free Overtime Challenges during the Share the Love event, you can get Season 8 for free. If not, you’re looking at the typical price of 950 V-bucks. Either way, players will get the Blackheart and Hybrid progressive outfits instantly with the Battle Pass, both of which can level-up to unlock new styles.
Central to it all is the arrival of a volcano spewing lava that can damage you (one per touch) opening vents that can launch you. As for that cannon, it can deal 100 damage to enemies for a direct hit and is otherwise useful for damaging structures and shooting the player across the map like in a circus act!
Or, if you’re like my son, you’re just thrilled that Lazy Links is gone.

Omg Kirk,
Why is you’re son thrilled about lazy links being removed!? It was my favorite POI on the map. Although I will admit the new places of interest on the map are just as good in season eight.
