Game Boy Evolution Concept Is A Flashy Game Handheld
Kotaku reader Justin Quinn designed concept image of a gaming handheld that we’re sure everyone wish existed. The handheld looks sleek and would be a great successor to the current line of DS handhelds. If the concept was produced, it would likely be pretty expensive, though Mr. Quinn thinks a $199 price tag could be a possibility. Although if something like this did get produced, it would be pretty easy to part with $199 to pick up such a spectacular looking handheld.
The concept specifications for the device that were provided by Justin Quinn are as follows.
…Justin’s design has a 5.3″ 1080p screen, two cameras, 16GB of flash memory, 4G connectivity, a quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. He thinks that would cost $199…

Most defiantly, everyone keeps saying Nintendo needs to do something to keep up with current trends. I think that something like this would be unexpected from Nintendo but I think it could draw a whole new audience to them if they did. Just think of the possibilities with that thing.

Although it’s a great idea, it should go under the name of DS. (Yes, I know it stands for dual screens.) After all, the DS is the current form of Nintendo handhelds. Admit it folks, the Game Boy era is over.
The Game Boys are still awesome, though!

If it is not a DS or a Gameboy maybe a new name would also fit it. It would still be cool if it were a new NIntendo handheld.

Well GameBoy or whatever you wanna call it, it could easily have been any other company who made this one.. put a Sony logo on at it would look like a new vita..
I like the look of the handheld but being able to “design” a handheld doesn’t simply involve making it look rad… it also needs to ascertain the look and feel of the brand of Nintendo, and even more the look and feel of a Game Boy or DS for that matter which is an entirely different thing..
To sum it up: it looks cool, but it doesn’t look like anything Nintendo would make and it certainly as no feel like the reminiscent Game Boy or even the DS..
