Owen Allen at Nintendo of America says that Nintendo will replace GamePads for a fee.  There has been no official announcement as to what this service may cost so for now you may want to consider keeping a close eye on your new, shiny controller.  He also goes on to say that at the moment there has been no announcement regarding any sort of warranty the product might have and that Nintendo warranties DO NOT cover physical damage.  So I correct myself and advise you to wrap up your new GamePad in bubble wrap… Ok well maybe not that extreme but try to be careful.
