There has been a lot of talk coming out of the game industry the past few weeks about the resale of games. Many, many, developers have cast concern on the resale of video games and the affect it is having on the industry. Of-course Gamestop being number one in the market of resale, is taken a brunt of the attacks. In a recent interview Dan DeMatteo, the chief executive officer of GameStop, stated “that the damage done by used-game sales is more perceived than real.” He plans to take this idea to the game industry after the holidays and try to convince them that the re-sale of games is a positive for the industry.
