Gunman Clive owes 80% of its 400K sales to the 3DS
Gunman Clive developer Bertil Hörberg has announced via Twitter that the popular game has surpassed 400,000 sales across all platforms. He elaborates to further reveal that the bulk of this success is owed to the 3DS, with over 80% of sales on that system alone.
Subsequent tweets clarify that the overall regional split on the 3DS is 43% US, 40% Japan and 17% Europe. Unsurprising, the recently released Gunman Clive 2 has also provided the original with “a nice bump”, according to Hörberg.
We’re always happy to see success coming to a developer, particularly on the 3DS eShop, with these games obviously striking a nice balance for players between action-packed gameplay and a low price.

Gunman Clive was great. I really enjoyed Duck Mode after the first play through. It completely changed the way you played, and became more of a stealth game. I bought the second game but haven’t had a chance to start it yet. I was all in as soon as I saw the T-Rex.
