Happy Birthday! Wii Turns Thrii!
It’s hard to believe it was 3 years ago today that the Wii came out. James and I, and some friends, camped out outside a Target all night to pick one up. I can remember being very excited when I first started to play Wii Sports and Twilight Princess! Christmas came early for me that year and I’m still enjoying it to this day! What about you guys? Any Wii launch stories you’d like to share? Wrestled a soccer mom for one? Or wrestled a kid if you happen to be a soccer mom? Let us know in the comments.

i kinda wish i had been camping out with you guys, it would have been a cool experience and story. but it was also cool getting one at midnight and calling you while i was playing Wii Sports, but i did feel a little bad about the call afterward. playing more Wii Sports helped with that though.

Haha :) Yeah, you missed out! We just played DS all night and I kept getting woken up by the street sweeper. I thought those things stayed on…ya know, the streets!! That thing came back every 30 minutes in the Target parking lot! Ridiculous! And the guy looked just like Santa…it was a weird night, but great the next morning—that’s what she said :)

So I’m outisde Best Buy getting a Wii right. And its like midnight, and peple are only half awake, others are playing multipllayer games on their DS and this particular drunk guy comes up to me and my dad all like, “I’m getting a Wii for my son” and my dad and I were like…ok. He didn’t leave us alone for a while. People were camping out in tents and all we brought was 2 chairs, which made us feel silly (our first father son campout /sniff). This guy in a truck drove by and was like, what are you guys in line for, and we all yell out Wii! and he drives some more and he yells again, and we yell back at him Wii! And his like, really you guys are in line for weed!? :P I fell asleep in the car, and my dad decided to be funny so that when the line actually started to move, he turned on the car alarm and I woke up in a complete daze and people in line saw this and started laughing (thanks alot dad) Finally. While in line, I saw Adam Sessler. I waved and he kept walking :\
