High Voltage Talks Making Online Games With Nintendo
One of the longest conversations I had at E3 was with the HV team about making online features for their upcoming Conduit 2 game. Anywhere from DLC, patches, and an all around more stable online experience. High Voltage has been working long and hard with Nintendo trying to make these things happen.
“Unlike The Conduit, where multiplayer came online pretty late in development. With this game we’ve had multiplayer since day one,” Nofsinger tells me. “We’ve been play testing and tweaking and balancing since June of last year.”
“We have a Rival system that allows you play with people who aren’t just your friends. (The Headbanger mic is) Not the greatest name, but it’s actually a pretty good device. Nintendo told us to not use WiiSpeak.”
