The latest Wii N-Query is up at IGN now.  It goes over Pokemon for the Wii and whether or not we’ll get a full online Pokemon adventure for the Wii.  They also discuss Metroid Prime 3 and a new color for the Wii itself.  Here are some of the details:

I have been keeping up on the latest, albeit meager, info on the third installment in the Metroid Prime trilogy. I remember hearing that it should come out in 2007 and not before the 3rd quarter. Do you think it is likely that Retro will follow the tradition of its other two games and release Corruption in November?

Honestly, your guess is as good as mine right now because Corruption has jumped all over the place. It was a scheduled launch title – officially. Not just a rumor. Retro Studios told us in an interview that Prime 3 would launch with Wii, period. Then it got delayed into 2007 and since then I’ve heard everything from “it’s coming sooner than you think” to “I wouldn’t expect it until next year.” What I can tell you now is that we’re going to be learning more about the title in the coming month and I expect we’ll get a good, firm release date at this time. Stay tuned for more. Since this is one of my most anticipated games, I will definitely be all over any developments.        — Matt

Any idea when we will see a newer model of the wii, the wii in colors other then white or a price cut?

I’m expecting a black Wii (and Wii remote) in addition to wireless nunchuks before the end of the year. I’d be surprised if we saw a price cut, though – the thing is selling like crazy.        — Matt

Matt is probably the biggest Metroid fan in the gaming press, so I’m sure he’s looking for news as much as we are.  Hopefully when he says ‘in the coming month’, he means it!
