Japanese Sales Chart: Nintendo Dominates Software Sales (Week Ending January 4, 2015)
The first sales data for 2015 is in for Japan, and Nintendo is off to a great start in their homeland, with seventeen of the top twenty games on either the Wii U or 3DS.
The top eight games are all for Nintendo’s devices, and it’s great to see the Wii U performing well, with two Wii U entries coming in at numbers four and six, namely Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 respectively. Captain Toad’s solo adventure also makes it into the top twenty at number nineteen.
The 3DS is the platform of the week again, moving over 150,000 units across its four models. Wii U sales are down slightly from last week, moving just over 30,000 units.

If they keep their priorities I think they will do well. Focus on what they are good at games. That is what brought me back to them. When I saw the Mario kart, DKTF, Smash I couldn’t resist because I remember how much fun I had with those games when I was a kid. And I still play the classic snes games that’s how good and changing they are. Just don’t forget your roots Nintendo and you’ll be okay. One thing though you have to let us voice chat with our friends and family that’s one thing I do not like.
