The latest sales data from Japan is in and this week saw the launch of one of the year’s most anticipated games, Super Mario Odyssey. There’s no surprise that Mario’s latest outing made it to the top of the list, selling almost half a million copies (462,038) in its first weekend.

A few other new releases came out for the 3DS, including Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, which sold over 60,000 copies to come in third place.

In hardware, the Nintendo Switch saw a surge in sales, up over 90,000 units from last week to sell 126,701 in total. The 2DS and 3DS LL models came in third and fourth place respectively, slightly up from last week to move about 15,000 units between them.
