Midway announced today that the new version of Mortal Kombat, named Armageddon, is coming to Nintendo’s new generation console in the first quarter of 2007. The game will feature all the Mortal Kombat characters throughout the years–around 60 playable.

There is no word yet on whether the game will feature exclusive Wii control functionality. Here’s hoping there are some wii-executed fatalities to boot when the game launches.
