A new 3DS update was announced during the Nintendo Direct this morning that includes support for your Nintendo Network ID and Miiverse on your 3DS. Your balance can even be synced between the Wii U and 3DS which is an awesome improvement.

A YouTube app will also be available soon on the 3DS.
