With Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival releasing on November 13th, Nintendo divulged a little more info about amiibo availability and compatibility in their latest direct video.
While any Animal Crossing amiibo can be scanned in to bring that character to the title’s main board game mode, in addition to three amiibo cards, both Isabella and Digby will come packaged with the game exclusively at launch. As supplies dwindle, Digby will eventually be removed from the bundle leaving only Isabella to come packaged with the game.
In addition to using the amiibo, scanning in certain Animal Crossing amiibo cards will unlock new game modes such as an Animal Crossing quiz, and even a shipwrecked game mode where you and your friends race to build a raft to get off a deserted island while being sure to also gather food and supplies to survive your stay on the island.
