Glen Schofield, general manger at EA Redwood Shores, has dropped a few more details about Dead Space: Extraction for Wii.  Here are the key points of the interview:

  • Extraction takes place about three weeks before Isaac, the protagonist in the original Dead Space, gets to the Ishimura (ship from the first game)
  • Game begins on a planet before going to the Ishimura
  • You’ll get to play as a couple different people in the game
  • There is a heroine that you have to protect and save
  • Schofield said the flamethrower will make a return, plus a couple of different pistols
  • When asked about a possible Dead Space Sequel: “Let’s hope so,” he told Gametrailers, “We have enough story to tell.”

Hopefully we’ll get some more in-game footage and screenshots in the coming weeks, or at least at GDC this month.
