New detective game from the Pokemon Company will feature Pikachu
The secret Pikachu game has been revealed during an episode of “The Professionals” on the Japanese channel NHK. The game, which is being developed by the Pokemon Company, will team the player up with Pikachu as they tackle the world of crime.
The detective game does feature a rare Pikachu as the enemy, but the developer doesn’t see people liking it. The game will also feature a blue talking Pikachu, which is being developed with motion capture and facial recognition software. As of now the game is planned for a 2015 release.

Huh? Wow, this is quite the surprise. It’s great that Nintendo is making a spin-off for a change, which is a relief due to the loads of repeating games. I just want to take a break from those adventure Pokemon games (besides X), and step into a whole new kind of gameplay. I like the fact that Pokemon is leaning into the mystery category, but how does this tie in with Pokemon? Are you able to yell, “Capture Complete!” or find the hidden items that give clues as to where the enemy is located? Who is that enemy? Obviously not much is known, but answers are on the horizon, that’s for sure! There’s only one thing left: Why isn’t Nintendo taking a step towards the Wii U in the Pokemon franchise yet?
