I know this sounds impossible, mainly because I’m a huge Super Mario fan, but I’m honestly not excited for Mario’s next big release. There just seems to be too much new characters and power-ups, making the franchise lose its simplicity. Whatever happened to the Goombas and Koopas? Nintendo better start thinking straight, because the Mario franchise is just getting too…random.

I don’t think being random or different is a new thing to the Mario franchise. Just look at the US release of Super Mario Bros 2. (which this seems to draw a lot of inspiration from).
