During Nintendo’s latest direct, it was announced that Super Mario Maker would be getting a free update on March 9th. The update will include twelve new mystery mushroom costumes, six super expert mode levels for the 100 Mario challenge, and some new items to create levels with.

The new items include a skewer column which can be accessed by shaking a thwomp, a key and locked door that can be found by shaking the P Switch and door respectively, and finally, shaking coins will earn you the pink key coins, which need to be collected in order to produce a key.
