After the passing of Satoru Iwata in July, both Shigeru Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda have been running the company while a new president for Nintendo was decided upon. As of September 14th, 2015, Tatsumi Kimishima has been elected to take on this role. As former CEO of Nintendo’s American branch until Iwata had assumed that role in 2013, Mr. Kimishima first came to Nintendo when he was hired as CFO of The Pokemon Company in 2000.
While Mr. Kimishima is not necessarily a game developer at heart as Iwata was, he does have extensive experience in running a business both inside and out of Nintendo. To help bridge the gap between business and gaming, Miyamoto and Takeda have been named Creative Fellow and Technology Fellow respectively. Nintendo states that a fellow is as follows: “an individual selected from among the Representative Directors who has advanced knowledge and extensive experience, and holds the role of providing advice and guidance regarding organizational operations in a specialized area.”
With Miyamoto and Takeda still having a strong voice within the company, do you think Tatsumi Kimishima is up to the task of running Nintendo? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

I don’t know much about him, will be interesting to see the direction he takes, but I do think it’s good that they have a leader in place. I also like Miyamoto and Takeda having strong supportive roles. Let’s see what they do next :)
