Nintendo comments on slow load times and freezing for the Wii U
I luckily have not experienced any Wii U freezing but I have seen some slow load times between applications. Nintendo has released a generic statement about the issue.

What to do:
Instances of system freezing are rare and unlikely to occur. If your system has frozen unexpectedly, do the following:
Reset your system by unplugging it from the wall for 10 seconds.
Ensure your system is kept current with available system updatesSlow loads
We are aware that users are experiencing load times when they launch or switch between applications. We are exploring ways to enhance features for consumers’ overall experience.

At least Nintendo actively apologizes and looks to advance their hardware unlike certain companies. Ala, Sony.

Well that’s cool. I personally haven’t had any issues with my WiiU, nor has my bro with his, but it’s good to see progress is being made in attempting to resolve the issues.
I have noticed the slowness in app launching/switching though. I do hope that is sped up considerably soon. Given, it’s not a horrible thing to wait 30 seconds, but if given the choice.. I’d definitely want it quicker.

@Hitokiri_Ace You wait 30 seconds or more? Mine feels rather instant close to maybe 5 seconds or so. I don’t know why mine seems to run smoother than others

Mine is probably around 15-30 seconds at times. It really isn’t a big deal but a complaint for some people.
