Thanks to today’s digital event, we finally have some more info on Fire Emblem Fates, which is set to release on the 3DS family of systems in 2016.

The game’s story revolves around two Kingdoms at war, the peace-loving Hoshido, and the glory-seeking Nohr. Being the prince/princess of the Hoshido, you must choose a side in this war and help put an end to the conflict.

As you take control of your own army, the challenges you face will depend on which side you choose. The Hoshido path follows a more traditional approach to the Fire Emblem series, and you’ll be tasked with fending off the Nohrian menace. On the other hand, the Nohr path features a more complex story with plenty of challenge, and you’ll be faced with the task of uniting the two kingdoms from the inside.
