During today’s Nintendo Digital Event, we got a bit more information on Yoshi’s Woolly World for the Wii U. The game will see players unraveling yarn to reveal secret areas within the game, and in the same vein, yarn gathered from enemies can be used to create platforms to make your way through the stage. The game aims to be a challenge for players looking to %100 all the levels, however there is a “mellow mode” for inexperienced players which will give Yoshi wings so that they can fly through a stage.
The game will also feature a multiplayer player mode, and this will allow you and a friend to help each other or compete against one another as you make your way to the end of a stage.
Nintendo also announced plenty of amiibo support for Wooly World, as many of the Smash Bros. series of amiibo can be scanned in to change Yoshi’s appearance. Scanning in one of the green, pink, or light-blue Yarn Yoshi Amiibo during the single player mode will activate “Double Yoshi” allowing you to create a second Yoshi at any point in time in the stage.
The game will launch on October 16th, 2015, so Yoshi fans will get their chance to explore this new Wooly World soon enough.
