Nintendo download – Dec 22 eShop releases (Europe)

It must be Christmas this week, since the European eShop is hosting a massive number of games and specials. The new titles seem to center around a runner theme, with a couple of puzzle games thrown in for good measure, including the latest Picross entry. Then there’s the massively long list of discounts, plus DLC and HOME themes – plenty of options for hungry gamers this week.

• Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (WayForward, €16.99 / £15.99) – the first HD release for WayForward’s genie heroine, this was originally funded on Kickstarter to become the latest hair-whipping adventure for Shantae. Note: available from 20th December.
• Back to Bed (Bedtime Digital, €9.99 / £8.99) – this is a puzzle game with an isometric camera view, where you’ll guide sleeping protagonists through a variety of areas while trying to keep them safe from obstacles.
• RADIANTFLUX: HYPERFRACTAL (TACS Games, €2.99 / £2.99) – this interesting-looking title centers around hacking, combining hacking simulation with minigames.
• Zombie Brigade: No Brain No Gain (Cypronia, €4.99 / £4.49 or free until 25th December for those that own Cube Life: Island Survival) – this runner makes use of memes as a source of humor.
