Monday brings with it the news of what’s to come, with the latest games to hit the European eShop this Thursday. This week seems to have a running theme, with a few endless runners in the mix, plus a few interesting puzzle games, more Fire Emblem DLC, and a Wii re-release on the Virtual Console.

  • Buddy & Me: Dream Edition (Sunbreak Games, €4.39 / £3.89) – a lovely-looking and colorful endless runner, originally released on smartphones, with a few enhancements thrown in on this console version.
  • Defend Your Crypt (Ratalaika Games, €2.99 / £2.69) – a real-time strategy and defense game sporting retro visuals, you’re tasked with setting the traps to prevent hunters from stealing your gold.
  • Jewel Quest (iWin Inc., €4.39/ £3.49) – the HD version of the popular jewel-matching game, with 72 boards to tackle.
  • Toon Tanks (Petite Games, €1.99 / £1.79) – a simple, top-down action game.
  • Hot Rod Racer (ZeNfA Productions, €2.99 / £2.69) – a top-down racer with some customization options to boost your vehicle.

Wii U Virtual Console

  • A Shadow’s Tale (Hudson Soft, €19.99 / £17.99) – this 2010 Wii game is a puzzle platformer, with some clever ideas and a neat concept – you play as the hero’s shadow, climbing tower shadows and fighting enemies, with the aid of a slyph to change the light source and solve puzzles.

  • Wind-up Knight 2 (Unity Games, €4.50/ £4.00) – this runner will have you jumping, rolling, attacking and defending as you strive to collect coins and avoid obstacles.
