It’s Monday and that can only mean one thing – it’s time to look ahead at this week’s eShop releases in Europe. This week brings a rather impressive list, including the HD remaster of Twilight Princess, another classic DS Virtual Console release, a quiz show game, a huge amount of discounts, and plenty more besides.
Check out the full list below and let us know which games will be taking up space on your hard drives or SD cards this week.
Wii U eShop
- Chasing Dead (2020 Venture, €29.99/ £24.99) – a first-person horror experience with a complex plot involving evil doppelgangers and the manipulation of time and space.
- Grumpy Reaper (EnjoyUp Games, €4.99 / £4.49) – this quirky arcade-puzzle game comes with an original plot – when someone steals Death’s keys, monsters escape into the world. Death grants life to a mortal gardener named Grog, who mows through levels to defeat the monsters and find the keys.
- U Host (Bear Box Media, €9.99/ £8.99) – this party game adds a new element allowing the host to create your own quiz show, using either the 1000 pre-loaded questions or by creating your own. We’re working on a review for this.
Wii U Virtual Console
- Advance Wars: Dual Strike (Nintendo, €9.99/ £8.99) – hailing from the DS in 2005 comes another entry in the other strategy series from the creators of Fire Emblem. This game is the third in the Advance Wars series, and was the first for the DS. The story is full of drama, humor, and, most importantly, excellent strategic play. Play occurs across two screens, in this case putting the GamePad and TV to work.
Wii U Retail Download
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Nintendo, €49.99 / £39.99) – this year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the series, and what better way to celebrate than by taking one of the many classics and giving it the HD treatment? This remaster boasts spruced up visuals, controls and amiibo content. The game is one of the most visually daring, with Link transforming into a wolf in order to protect Hyrule from being engulfed by a parallel dimension known as the Twilight Realm. We’re working on our review so look out for it soon.
