It’s time once again to look towards the upcoming releases on Nintendo’s eShop, ready to hit your systems in Europe and Australia from this Thursday.
It’s a busy week for Nintendo’s virtual store, with plenty of games across both 3DS and Wii U – and even DSi – to keep us busy. Among the highlights are Fantasy Life and FIFA 15 for 3DS, among many others, including discounts and retro releases.
Check out the full list below and let us know which titles will have you counting down the hours until Thursday’s release.
Wii U eShop
- Art of Balance (Shin’en Multimedia, €8.99 / £7.15) – an improved version to previous titles in the Balance series, this version includes new features, visuals and controls, plus online play.
- Angry Bunnies: Colossal Carrot Crusade (Cypronia, €6.99 / £5.99) – coming from the 3DS this is a physics-based game with 150 levels – think Angry Birds with bunnies, only not as good.
Wii U Virtual Console
- Nobunaga’s Ambition (Koei, €7.99 / £5.49) – hailing from 1993 on the SNES, this turn-based RPG takes place during the Sengoku period of feudal Japan, where you seek to unify Japan through conquest via warlord Oda Nobunaga or a variety of other regional daimyos of the time. This is the first PAL release of the game previously released in the US and Japan only.

3DS eShop
- Demon King Box (CIRCLE Entertainment, €3.99 / £2.99) – an intriguing RPG-like game that sees you gather and level-up demons, with real-time strategy battles. Graphically it looks nice, but does come across as simply a mediocre tower defense game.
- KORG DSN-12 (Detune, €29.99 / £24.99) – this is another incredibly detailed app that recreates the sounds of the iconic synthesizer to allow you to create, record and perform tracks.
3DS Virtual Console

3DS Retail Download
- Fantasy Life (Nintendo, €39.99 / £34.99) – this charming Level-5 title was released in Japan in 2012, and we’ve been patiently waiting for the RPG / life-sim title ever since. Here you can choose from 12 Life Classes, from a hero who saves the world or a simple chef, and easily change between classes during the game.
- Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle (Bandai Namco, €34.99 / £24.99) – this 2D action game is based on the animated show, where you control a customisable robot to fight evil, shape-shifting robots.
- FIFA 15 (EA, €34.99 / £24.99) – the annual football franchise hits the 3DS on September 26.
- Violetta: Rhythm and Music (Little Orbit, €29.99 / £24.99) – Based on a Disney Channel show, this is a mix of mini-games where you show off your rhythm and performing skills.

DSiWare
- Sokomania 2: Cool Job (Cinemax, 200 Nintendo Points) – this puzzler involves pushing and moving crates into position on a factory floor on order to proceed to the next level. It’s an improvement on the drab original game, though there’s not much variety on offer overall.
