Nintendo of Europe posted a cryptic tweet over the weekend that teases Mario Kart 8 fans with the possibility of something special coming soon.
The tweet below shows an image of classic N64 track, Kalimari Desert, along with the simple comment of “Good things come to those who wait #MK8”.
Could this brief message mean something will be announced at the upcoming E3? The interwebz are buzzing with rumors at this time of year, and of course after this tweet followers assume (hope?) that more DLC is on the way for Mario Kart 8.
It’s been far too long since we’ve seen new content for Mario’s latest racing outing – over 12 months in fact – and the game is certainly one of the most popular titles on the Wii U, so the rumors make sense.
As the tweet suggestions, we’ll just have to wait and see.
In the meantime, let us know your own thoughts, speculations, rumors, hopes, dreams, desires or frustrations with this tease from Nintendo.
